Has learned to enjoy the CATS! and lets them cuddle him.
Winchester is what we call “Lazy”. He still LOVES playing with this toys and is typically happy guy. Winchester is AMAZING with CATS! and has really blossomed into a cuddley guy who wants all the pets. He is not a scared dog he just gets it done.
Winchester is calming down with age. He has a wonderful relaxed confidence. A good easy obedient boy. Winchester is great about dropping or giving toys to people. He is great with dogs that are more mature and not ‘Annoying’. He will still have problems sharing but has gotten better with training and corrections. He doesn’t like being left all alone, but is happy to go place to place. The king of Toys, Winchester is a stunning fetcher who loves to collect piles of toys. He tries to carry as many as possible and then he wants to roll all over them. Winchester is a typical traditional Golden Boy not too big but he does have a gorgeous headpiece and magnificent coat. Only about 80lbs. He can be slow to warm up to strangers and while he enjoys pets doesn’t always come off as the go to friendly guy mostly cause he’s lazy. He’s pretty gentle and great on his commands and car rides. Because he is protective of his Toys we don’t suggest him going home to another dog. Better if it’s just him. Not a problem out on leash but he’s not gonna want to share when he gets home. Has been wonderful for our groomers once you get him into the tub but getting this big boy to our Bathing room can be tricky (he lays down and doesn’t want to walk). The classic Golden Retriever a true beauty to show off and spoil. He is not aggressive but he is a dog that will not do well at DOG Parks or Doggie camp. A great house pet.
