European Golden Retrievers
We have imported several European Golden Retrievers over the years. Starting with our beloved Jasper. Jasper is a English Cream Golden Retriever. Jasper is almost 9 years old now & has produced many wonderful puppies. We now have his son (Duke) & grandson (Jon Luca) in our breeding program.
Other Goldens we imported from Europe are Darby, Shirley & Peaches all girls from the same kennel as Jasper in Slovakia. We also imported our lovely Beth from the Dreammax Kennel in Sweden.
One of the things we love about the European Goldens is the co-operation between kennels. Look at almost any Golden from Europe & you will find 3,4,5 or more different kennels in a pedigree. This co-operation is sometimes sadly lacking here in the U.S. The exclusivity often practiced here is at least partly to blame for the issues we have had in regards to genetic defects. The diversity in the European Golden has produced some wonderfully healthy Goldens.
